Dear Planetarion Community,

This site looks an awful lot like the old KIA site, and that is very much intentional.

First and foremost, thanks go to remy|afk for hosting and maintaining the original KIA site for so many years. A huge amount of effort went into it, and it became something the community relied on. I’ve used his work extensively for the look and feel of this site, and one day I hope I can aspire to replicate all of the features he built over the years.

Before Remy, there was Sandman, whose work inspired what KIA eventually became. Without that original inspiration, none of this would really exist, so a nod is absolutely deserved there as well.

This project exists because people wanted something familiar back, and because I wanted to learn by rebuilding something I genuinely enjoyed using. It’s very much a work in progress, but it’s built with respect for what came before it.

Thanks to everyone who helped, directly or indirectly, by building, hosting, testing, commenting, or just using the old tools over the years.
